With fall approaching and trees turning  gold, it's a time when all seems to slow down even the water slowed enough to look like glass.  So! I thought I would do the same and just slow down

This was on Sunday, altho it could have been any day of the week; this little skiff is always here, hanging out, going no-place, bobbin up and down rain or shin.  Paint fading and peeling tied to a buoy for who knows how long,  I wonder, would it be worth setting it afloat.

It was mid-afternoon and I was on a walk with my son and his daughter, (my grandchild]. It was a time to be quiet and listen to the sounds of this most magical place.  There was so much to see that I felt I couldn't get enough to fill my eyes and mind.  There where things for me to paint with every turn of my head.  So much beauty I thought, "I will run out of time."  Better get busy and paint.... Here's the start of many more to come.

Newer version, I warmed the sky and dropped that same pink into the lower corners adding to the overall feeling.

I had been walking for sometime, gingerly being careful not to disturb the underbrush or step on a new seedling that might one day become...   The air was still, soft sounds of unseen birds called out musical notes.   Well, on this very fine day I stumbled out from the underbrush on to this most delicate of ponds.  I found myself slowing down my movement not to brake the silence.   Stopping my walk, I sat down letting the hush fall on me like a soft blanket.

A few weeks ago we had a great needed downpour.  All the dust was washed away, all plants got a good drink, the air is clearer.  All this is good, BUT! For me it meant running around with my iPhone taking pictures for my rain series.. This petites oeuvres d' art that you see just might become a large canvas.... There is more to come so stay tuned.. "LISTEN"

This is a little back off the main body of the lake.  We would shut the engine and drifted in in silence into these quiet spots.  Ether he or I would say quietly "Listen" and there was nothing, no sound, not even birds.  It was a place where I learned how to bass fish with one of the best.  He new just where to cast his line and seconds later, he would pull his rod up and reel in a bass... I was always in awe  and this same guy taught me the art of bass fishing.  (Sold)

"NOW WATER"

With snow coming down I drove in silence.  The muffled sound of the road let my thoughts melted away like the snow flakes turning to droplets only to vanish and return again; and to think!  All this took place in my imaginary reality staring at a blank canvas.
