THE VALLEY

                                                          THE VALLEY
                                                      8x8inch oil on pane

As I moved deeper into the valley the vistas that opened were breathtaking.  There were countless things to photograph no matter where I turned, I was dizzy with Ideas of things to paint.   An hour had passed before I realized I had not taken even one photo, then finally, this came into view; I had my next paintings in my sights.

CLOUD COVER

                                                      6X6inch oil on panel
Racing ahead of what looked like a change in the weather, I turned my car around and back down the hill I went.  It was hours later I heard a storm moved in with road closers just where I was.  I will try another day, the mountain isn't going anywhere soon.

SNOWFALL

                                                                SNOWFALL
                                                          6x6inch oil on panel

This last winter when with my son we went back to a magical place with quiet.  The only sound was the water moving over and around the stones in this icy cold stream.  It was picture perfect, I hope I did it justice to paint such perfection.

"PROPERTY LINE"

                                                     "PROPERTY LINE"
                                                       6x6" oil on panel

I had just turned the corner with my mind swirling with ideas of things to paint.  The snow had not melted from the night before and the morning sun was just showing its colors, illuminating the trees.  This is what I wanted to see.  One click with my iPhone and a new painting will soon make its way to reality.

"MORNING STROLL"

                                                    "MORNING STROLL"
                                                     10x10" oil on canvas

Waking up early in Minnesota I decided to bundle up and hit the cold air.  It was a quiet  Sunday, the snow from the other night was doing a slow melt, long shadows, clear blue skies and glistening white snow was what I was looking for.
Holding my camera in my beginning to freeze hands I began to click away.  I must say, It all made for a perfect morning stroll.

This painting is available with a quick E-mail

"NOW WATER"

With snow coming down I drove in silence.  The muffled sound of the road let my thoughts melted away like the snow flakes turning to droplets only to vanish and return again; and to think!  All this took place in my imaginary reality staring at a blank canvas.

This painting is 20x20 For questions a simple email at:schwartzart@earthlink.net

I know, I know... its early for a snow scene, but I thought I would post it anyway, after all, its my site.. :) Sure feel good to be back painting..  Oil on canvas 30x36 inch $3200
