                                                        6x6" oil on wood panel

It was around 6:40 in Laguna Nigel and I was heading North to San Louis Obispo, meet up with some friends, catch up on some good talks, good eats at "The Spoon Trade", check out the wines, all great stuff.  So I was glade knowing all trains are on time..    (SOLD)

"Roasted & Ready"

6x6 oil on wood "everything red"

As much as I love painting I love cooking.  There is an interesting correlation between the two.  Each needs to be planned and figured out as to what comes first, the coloring or the look of the presentation and then  what it is going to be presented on so the palate and eyes can feast.  So much to think about, but for now, its back to the kitchen, I mean studio...

See you on the next corner.

"DOWNTOWN"

"Downtown" Just the mention of it denotes feelings in everyone. Everyone has a story, memory, recollection "Something" to contribute in the mere mention of "Downtown" Sunday walks, corner bakery, breakfast, lets meet for lunch, all of this and more.... Did you know they are on the endangered list.   Yes I know, every city has a downtown.. But real downtown is like the one in long

beach, they have one, I used to live just blocks away on Broadway.. Lot's of the little stores are gone, you know, mom's and pop's, you knew there names and they yours... Changes they tell me... Glad I get to paint them and  hold on to my memory's... Oil on Birch panel, mounted on a 6x8 inch varnished box.

"DAGWOODS at PISMO BEACH"

I must confess, I did this painting months ago and as much as I liked it, I didn't love it.  So! I went and painted out the blue sky, clouds, palm tree and darked the wall the sign is on... A real hundred & eighty degree difference.. Its a real place by the way.. lived up the hill from it in Pismo Beach.. So it's a new post. Want to see the original? "Click Here"   This is a 8x6 inch oil on Birch wood mounted on a varnished wooden box:  (Sold)

"HOLD THE MAYO"

Never did like Mayo on my burger, ketchup yes.... Now that that's out of the way I can talk about the painting at hand.  Being in and at the "LAGUNA ART FESTIVAL" I don't get much cooking done, so its eating here and there and at one of these eateries, I thought, Hay! take a photo and paint the crazy thing... So here it is.   Oh! by the way, it was good, Pricey!... but good...  This painting, also a nice departure from my usual style is a 6x6 inch original oil painting on Birch wood that is mounted on a varnished wooden box so it is ready for your wall.
