"A QUIET MEADOW"

                                                      A QUIET MEADOW
                                                        6X6 oil on panel

For me, I needed to just get away from the noise, people, sights and sounds of it all.  I have been in an amazing art show with great artists that I can talk with about what it is like to do what we do.  I play a card game with two wonderful artists and another I get to jab humor with along with great texting back and forth with.  But I still wanted to find a place to just get into me, so after a long hike I found a perfect little spot.  My very own quiet meadow to lie-down in and dream.

"Goodnight"

                                                            "GOODNIGHT"
                                                        14X14 oil on canvas

So, I'm on my way home, and I just come up and over the pass and this is what I see.  It took me a bit to find my camera, turn it on and aim it out my windshield in time to see the last bit of light.   It was a long drive, soon I will be home in my own bed and it will be goodnight.

"MAGIC"

                                                                   "MAGIC"
                                                            6x6" oil on wood

With the moon so full and a blue moon at that I had no choice but to paint the glare of it.
As many times as I have looked up at this glowing ball it still brings a smile and a Wow! that crosses my lips.  The simple beauty that it gives us all is immeasurable.   Every child looks and points to it.  The moon is magic, for when we stop to marvel, all troubles and negative thoughts vanish and for a brief moment we are one with all..

"CALIFORNIA EVENING"

LA evening and another ride back home.  I'm driving all by myself lost in thoughts with my CD playing music that I DJ for drives like this.   My love for music is really an eclectic ranging from "Pink Martini" to "Steve Oliver"and "Neil Young"... The bottom line is, music is a big part of my life and is on all the time moving my mind around like clear liquid.  So... driving around listening to music gives me time to think and see colors and subjects I have yet to paint and talk about on canvas.  What can I say... It is the way of my life.  After all, somebody has to do it.  ;-}
This 6x6" painting is on wood mounted to a varnished 1.5" deep box: "Available At"schwartzart@earthlink.net
