"CHINATOWN AT 2AM"

Dark streets, rainy nights, glare, a bit of chill in the air and a touch of mystery... I'm happy... Not sure just what that's about, but never the less ever since I was a kid I loved that look and feel... At an early age when I started to paint, it was that kind of scene that pulled at me, so here I am, many years later and they are still calling to me. My journey is a 6x6 inch original oil painting on Birch panel mounted to a varnished wooden box: $200 includes shipping in USA

Pat, thanks for taking a look at this.. It was harder to photograph this painting then it was to paint it... whats up with that....

Wonderful work as is the one you just did. You capture lighting beautifully. Re photographing the painting, I find when I photograph some of my paintings the lights in the painting reflect back giving the photo a washedout look. I try photographing the painting in different lighting conditions until I find one that works.
