"EVENING GLARE"

looking out from the overpass, the setting sun's light melted the surrounding landscape into an evening glare... For me capturing that moment of light is what it is all about. 6x6 inch original oil painting on Birch wood, mounted to a varnished wooden box: (Sold)

Lovely painting! lOVE THAT YOU CARRY AROUND A CAMERA and photograph views in traffic.(Ido too) You have a wonderful mastery of the sky... moody vanishing sunsets, great atmosherice quality as well. LOL the missing telephone poles!
Continued success!

Thank lyn for your kind words. Yes the camera is a great part of what I do.. I feel a painting has to have a story, its is what I strive to achieve.

I'm on the road a lot and frequently see a glaring sunset ahead of me. I carry my camera in the car also. Your sunset painting is just beautiful. You really caught the glare and the time of day! BTW, I'm following your blog now. Vernita

Cara, thank you. It was fun working out all the colors to get the glare.
