"STILL-LIFE & SHADOWS"

I wanted to return to still-life painting and at the same time keep my sky paintings as a recurring theme. I thought. "Why not paint the still-life casting a shadow on the sky". That way I keep each separate allowing the viewer to sense the whole as a composition in mood. I hope you enjoy these as much as I in painting them. Here is the forth in the series.
"MELON & STARLIGHT"
No need to say much more other then it was very tasty. Oil on a 6x8 inch archival board mounted on a varnished 2 1/2inch deep wooden box. (Sold)

Hello Cheryl, This was fun, the first one I did had so many stars that when I posted it it looked like an attack of dust.. This is much better..
