I just did the same thing to a painting of my dog. I like to think that it stinks to be a perfectionist. As always, your painting is wonderful, even before your touch-ups.
I like the improvements you made in the top one, it's more colorful and vivid. It's cool that you're doing daily painting in oils. I've got oils but usually stick to colored pencil and pastels as a little easier to handle in limited space, since I'm disabled. I tend to do oils in the summer more often because I can go outdoors to do them.
It's a lot of fun. I've been drawing for a while too, not 55 years because I'm only 54, but a good couple of decades even if you don't count childhood art classes and the things I did as a kid, or count the years I wasn't doing art but was thinking about it and weirdly getting better without physical practice.
You've shown me something to look forward to and I thank you for your current post for that. Maybe in another couple of decades I'll get better at landscapes.

Thanks Cheryl, You know what I'm talking about.... It would be great to just walk-away but NO!
Thanks for stopping to see :)
It is indeed maddening but it was worth it - you got there beautifully in the end.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment.
Isn't it fun to do what we do...
